I'm a full-time teacher who's exhausted by 3PM, on a budget, and still trying my best to stay consistent with fitness. Being a teacher is such a rewarding job, but it can simultaneously be emotionally draining by the end of the day. You are giving so much of your time and energy to helping little minds grow, that by the end of the day, all you want to do is curl up on the couch and throw on your favorite TV show. This was my reality for so long. I'd come home after a long day of work and mindlessly doom-scroll for hours. About two years ago, everything started to change for me. I had just gotten engaged, and I realized I needed to make a shift—I wasn’t proud of the person I saw in the mirror. That moment became the start of my health and fitness journey.

When I started taking my health more seriously, I wasn't doing anything extreme, but I was consistent. I focused on eating better and tried to build simple routines. Slowly but surely, I felt more confident, stronger, and honestly just better in my day-to-day life. But, progress isn't linear. There are ups, downs, and plateaus. Even after my wedding in October 2025, the schedule didn't get easier. The motivation didn't magically stick around. I got busy, tired, and fell into that frustrating place where you feel like you are doing "pretty good," but not seeing the results you want. But when you feel like you're stuck in a rut, there are two things you can do. You can stay stuck, and let all of your hard work go to waste, or you can stay consistent despite the frustration and keep going. I encourage you to keep going and show up for yourself. As a teacher, there are times you feel like you show up for everyone but yourself, there's no better time than now to start showing up for yourself too.

And that is why this blog exists.

I don't have a perfect routine. I don't wake up at 5AM every morning. I sometimes struggle to feel motivated or eat clean all the time. But I've learned how to keep showing up anyway, and that is what has made the biggest difference.

This is a space where I'm sharing what that really looks like:

  • Realistic workouts that fit into a busy schedule

  • Habits that actually stick

  • Balancing work, health, and fitness on a budget

  • The ups, downs, and everything in between

If you're also trying to balance a demanding job, a budget, and trying to meet your fitness goals, you're in the right place! I don’t have it all figured out, and I’m not perfect—but that’s the reality of being human. What I am committed to is showing up consistently and improving along the way. I'll be sharing exact things that have helped me, whether it's workout routines that fit into a busy schedule, easy and budget friendly meals, or small tools that make life a little more manageable.

You don't have to figure it out all on your own.

Welcome!
